Tapping Solution

A few weeks ago I was struggling to bridge the gap between what I want and where I am. I felt I was worlds apart from my goals, and had no idea how to reach them. When that feeling encompasses you, it’s hard to move passed it and this is when I normally give up and put what I want on hold until I feel the positive drive again. Over the years, I’ve done that over and over and I have kicked myself every time. I’m not trying to rewrite history, I WANT TO CHANGE! That saying is true – if you want something different you have to step into your fear to break the cycle. You wont ever get anywhere different if you continue to do the same thing over and over and stop at the same point.

You may be wondering what the Tapping Solution is or how it comes into play with my little story, but using the tapping solution has helped me overcome fear that used to stop me in my tracks. This may seem whoo-whoo to some people, but honestly try it and then be the judge. I know the worst sceptic will noticeably feel different after using the Tapping Solution.

The Tapping Solution is a fairly “new” practice. It’s been used for a few decades. Tapping helps when your feeling sad, depressed, anxious, discontent, and unwell. This is hugely used for people battling addictions, social anxiety, severe stress, and even troubles sleeping from a restless mind.

Tapping relaxes your mind and body.  You tap your fingers on pressure points all over your body.  There are 9 main tapping points to use on your upper body. (see chart below)

1. Karate Chop (side of hand under you pinky finger)
2. Brow bone where your eyebrow begins
3. Outer eye
4. Under middle of eye
5. Under nose (between lip and nose)
6. Chin (right where the crease between lip and chin is)
7. Collar bone
8. Under arm (for ladies right where your bra strap is)
9. Top of head

With the tapping sequence you also need to establish and acknowledge your feelings. This is critical for the process to work its magic. Outloud or in your head (if you’re in public) repeat this statement (amend to your needs):

“Even though I feel this anxiety, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I’m anxious about my interview, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I’m feeling this anxiety about my financial situation, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I panic when I think about ______, I deeply and completely accept myself. ”
“Even though I’m worried about how to approach my boss, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I’m having trouble breathing, I deeply and completely accept myself.”

*insert your emotion and what your emotion stems from in the bold areas*

Repeat your statement at each tapping point. Example: begin at your karate chop side hand, tap and say “even though I feel _____, I deeply and completely accept myself”.  Move to your Eyebrow and repeat the next line. Tap each area 5-7 times with your finger tip not your finger nail! Do this sequence once to stop where you started. If you still feel anxious, stressed or whatever your emotion was, do it again!

You can change your statement but it always must acknowledge that you completely accept yourself because YOU SHOULD! We are all human, and we all get worked up, live in fear and get stressed. The difference between successful and non successful people is how they deal with fear, rejection, and stress.

Tapping solution really helps with negative emotions. “All negative emotions are felt through a disruption of the body’s energy. And physical pain and disease are intricately connected to negative emotions.”

Give it a try and see if you notice a difference! The Tapping Solution is online at This has Tapping 101 to walk you though all of it! If you notice a difference, I’d recommend buying the book. It’s a great tool for kids, teenagers and adults of all ages.

It’s helped me break through some major anxiety I have around sharing my passion. This has helped me press “publish” on a few of my first posts. Your struggle can be big or small, this will help ease your mind and open your body up to release stress and let your chi flow.
